Dua
These duas are helpful for anyone going through times of stress, pain, and sorrow:
O Allah, I am Your servant,
the child of Your male servant,
and the child of Your female servant.
My destiny is in Your Hand,
Your command over me is always carried out,
Your decree for me is just.
I ask You by every Name that is Yours—
which You have named Yourself with,
or revealed in Your Book,
or taught to any of Your creation,
or kept with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen—
that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart,
the light of my chest,
the remover of my sadness,
and the reliever of my anxiety and distress.”
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief,
from weakness and laziness,
from cowardice and miserliness,
and from being overwhelmed by debt and overpowered by men.”
